Hệ thống giáo dục ở Pháp
Hệ thống giáo dục đại học Pháp là một trong những hệ thống đa dạng và hiệu quả nhất trên thế giới.
Thật vậy, chất lượng của nền giáo dục, đào tạo Pháp dựa trên cơ sở một mạng lưới quốc gia gồm hơn 3500 cơ sở đào tạo của Nhà nước và tư nhân và các trung tâm nghiên cứu được quốc tế công nhận: 85 trường đại học tổng hợp, 224 trường kĩ sư, 220 trường thương mại và quản lý, 20 trường kiến trúc, 120 trường nghệ thuật. Bên cạnh đó là 3000 cơ sở đào tạo, trường lớn hoặc viện đào tạo khác.
85 trường đại học công lập do Nhà nước tài trợ có mặt trên khắp lãnh thổ Pháp. Các loại bằng và tương đương về văn bằng
Pháp có một hệ thống phong phú và thống nhất trên khắp Châu Âu.
Nền giáo dục đại học và sau đại học Pháp áp dụng hệ thống có tên là “LMD” (“Cử nhân-Thạc sĩ-Tiến sĩ”), hệ thống chung của các quốc gia thuộc Liên minh Châu Âu. Hệ thống này được thiết lập để tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho quá trình du học của sinh viên trong nội bộ Châu Âu cũng như trên thế giới.Việc cấp bằng trên cơ sở một cấu trúc chung (L-M-D) dựa trên số lượng các học kỳ đã hoàn thành tính từ đầu năm học và số lượng tín chỉ ECTS tương ứng.
Cử nhân: yêu cầu 6 học kỳ với số lượng tín chỉ tương đương với 180 ECTS (3 năm học).
Thạc sĩ: yêu cầu 4 học kỳ sau trình độ Cử nhân, tương đương với 120 ECTS (tổng cộng 5 năm học và 300 ECTS).
Tiến sĩ: thông thường sau 16 kỳ học (tổng cộng 8 năm đào tạo).
ECTS : Hệ thống chu chuyển tín chỉ Châu Âu
Các loại bằng và quá trình đào tạo được công nhận ở mức độ của Liên minh Châu Âu trên cơ sở một hệ thống tín chỉ chung có tên là Hệ thống chu chuyển tín chỉ (European Credits Transfer System - ECTS). Các tín chỉ ECTS có thể được tích lũy và chu chuyển, ví dụ như trong trường hợp sinh viên theo học một lúc tại nhiều cơ sở đào tạo của Châu Âu.
Các bằng quốc gia ở trình độ đại học và sau đại học được đặt dưới sự quản lý của Nhà nước:
- Bằng quốc gia do các trường đại học tổng hợp và các cơ sở đào tạo khác của Nhà nước (trường nghệ thuật quốc gia, trường kiến trúc quốc gia…) cấp đều phải tuân thủ các tiêu chí chung về chất lượng đào tạo và phải được trao cho những bậc học giống nhau.
- Bằng kĩ sư là một loại bằng quốc gia và các trường cấp bằng kĩ sư đều phải được sự cho phép của Uỷ ban cấp học vị kĩ sư (CTI).
- Các trường thương mại và quản lý được Nhà nước công nhận cũng được đặt dưới sự quản lý của Bộ Giáo dục quốc gia trong việc cấp bằng. Một số trường thuộc loại này được ủy quyền cấp các chứng chỉ quốc tế hoặc được uỷ quyền tổ chức các khóa đào tạo quốc tế (ví dụ như Equis, AACSB)
- Các trường nghệ thuật và trường đào tạo chuyên ngành cũng được đặt dưới sự điều chỉnh của hệ thống chứng chỉ quốc gia.
Bằng Đại học (D.U.)
Các bằng Đại học (D.U) không phải là một loại bằng quốc gia mà do mỗi cơ sở đào tạo cấp. Các bằng này được các trường đại học lập ra nhằm đáp ứng một số mục tiêu cụ thể hoặc một nhu cầu kinh tế của địa phương.
Tương đương về văn bằng
Ở Pháp, không có sự tương đương mặc nhiên giữa bằng do các nước khác cấp với bằng do Pháp cấp.
Mỗi cơ sở đào tạo đều có quy định riêng về tiêu chí tuyển sinh, tùy theo quá trình đào tạo trước đó và trình độ của sinh viên cũng như những yêu cầu của chương trình đào tạo.
Tổ chức các khóa học
Năm học
Ở Pháp, năm học bắt đầu vào tháng 9 hoặc tháng 10 và kết thúc vào tháng 5 hoặc tháng 6 tùy theo từng cơ sở và chương trình đào tạo.
Trong năm học sẽ có các kỳ nghỉ, đặc biệt là hai tuần vào tháng 12 và tháng 1 (Nô-en và năm mới).
Giữa hai học kỳ sẽ có một kỳ nghỉ ngắn, sau kỳ thi cuối học kỳ 1.
Kỳ nghỉ hè kéo dài hơn hai tháng và bao gồm tháng bảy và tháng tám.
Các loại bài giảng
Trong giáo dục đại học và sau đại học ở Pháp, đặc biệt là đại học, có hai loại bài giảng khác nhau :
Bài thuyết trình : kiểu bài giảng này được tiến hành tại các giảng đường có từ 100 đến 1000 chỗ ngồi, dưới hình thức một bài thuyết trình của một giáo sư và sinh viên ghi chép. Các bài giảng thường được đóng thành một tập do giáo sư ấn hành và được phân phát cho sinh viên vào cuối khóa để ôn thi.
Bài có hướng dẫn-bài thực hành : các bài thực hành (TP) và bài có hướng dẫn (TD) được tổ chức theo nhóm nhỏ với mục đích minh họa cho các bài thuyết trình bằng việc thực hành và đào sâu kiến thức lý thuyết đã được giới thiệu trong bài thuyết trình.
Trong các khóa đào tạo chuyên ngành tại trường đại học (DUT, cử nhân hoặc thạc sĩ chuyên ngành) đều có các khóa thực tập, thời gian làm việc tại doanh nghiệp cũng như các bài có hướng dẫn và bài thực hành.
Kiểm tra kiến thức
Có hai cách kiểm tra kiến thức tồn tại song song trong giáo dục đại học tại Pháp:
- Kiểm tra thường xuyên: kiểm tra các kiến thức người học tiếp thu được thông qua các bài kiểm tra ở từng môn học và trong suốt năm học.
- Các kỳ thi nhằm kiểm tra kiến thức của toàn bộ các môn học trong vòng vài ngày. Đây là một kỳ kiểm tra đầy đủ được tổ chức hai lần trong một năm.
Ở trường đại học tổng hợp, các bài giảng thường được tổ chức dưới dạng các học phần (mô-đun), đây là các tập hợp thống nhất của các môn học do sinh viên tích lũy dần trong quá trình học tập : bằng tốt nghiệp sẽ ghi rõ có "n" học phần, trong đó có những học phần bắt buộc và những học phần tự chọn. Các học phần này chỉ phải học một lần và có giá trị vĩnh viễn.

CHI PHÍ HỌC TẬP TẠI PHÁP
Toàn bộ các chi phí đào tạo tại các trường công lập sẽ được nhà nước chi trả ( dao động từ 10.000 € đến 14.000 € /sinh viên/ năm ). Học phí năm học 2015-2016 tại các trường công lập được quy định như sau :
- 184 € đối với sinh viên theo học trình độ Cử nhân
- 256 € đối với sinh viên theo học trình độ Thạc sĩ
- 391 € đối với sinh viên theo học trình độ Tiến sĩ
- 610 € đối với sinh viên theo học các trường Đào tạo kĩ sư
Học phí tại các trường tư, đặc biệt là tại các trường thương mại cao hơn một cách đáng kể (khoảng từ 4.000 đến 30.000 € một năm).
Ngoài ra, sinh viên sẽ phải đóng thêm một số khoản cho các dịch vụ nhất định.
